Who's Depressed?

This commercial came on at least 10 times during the Yankee's game last night...

where do we begin? the doll? the fact that pristiq is "thought" to work? the phrase "suicidal thoughts"? the DOLL? i don't know where to go on this one... another real american gem here. I'm might just watch the yanks again tonight just to see this master piece another dozen times.

There are so many things about this ad that crack me up. Firstly, the doll rocks. If you surf the web you'll find hundreds of folks who are earnestly looking for it. Check out this link: <http://www.mmm-online.com/For-Pristiq-Wyeth-deploys-wind-up-doll/article/138292/>. What I love best its the folks looking for the doll co-mingled with other folks looking for information about treating depression. Says a lot about our society. The production value of this spot is awesome. The way the doll shows up on the picnic bench near the end cracks me up too! Reminds me a bit of SNL's Mr. Bill.

1) I love how the camera is so focused on the journey of the post-Pristiq "happy" wind-up doll while the narrator is talking about all the horrible side effects.

2) I love how the doll has hooves. (0:45) There was no mention that side effects may include becoming a cow from the ankles down.
